“The untold story of D-Day.”

Winston Churchill (Brian Cox) is an aging prime minister in June 1944, and he has spent months arguing against the Allied landings in Normandy. Jonathan Teplitzky follows him through the last hours before D-Day, as Eisenhower (John Slattery) and Montgomery (Julian Wadham) press ahead without him. Only his wife Clementine (Miranda Richardson) will tell him plainly what the war has done to him.
