Cinderella

Cinderella (Yanina Zheymo) keeps house for her stepmother (Faina Ranevskaya) and the stepsisters Anna and Maryana, while her father, a forester, goes along with whatever he is told. A godmother-fairy sends her to the royal ball, where the kind young Prince (Aleksey Konsovskiy) notices her and forgets everyone else. Nadezhda Kosheverova and Mikhail Shapiro made this Lenfilm musical in 1947, and they stage it as a stage fairy tale for the whole family.
