Fella (Jerry Lewis) sweeps, scrubs and fetches for the stepmother and two stepbrothers who took over his late father's estate. Frank Tashlin sends a Fairy Godfather (Ed Wynn) to Fella's door, and he arrives promising the invitation nobody else in the house thinks Fella deserves.
