Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

“Meet Darren. He's sixteen going on immortal.”

Darren Shan (Chris Massoglia) is an ordinary teenager whose best friend Steve (Josh Hutcherson) drags him to a traveling freak show full of sideshow oddities. There Darren meets a vampire, Larten Crepsley (John C. Reilly), and takes a bite on the neck that changes the rest of his life. Paul Weitz follows the odd pairing of the boy and the older vampire he is now bound to, and Steve is left on the outside.
