Ciske the Rat

Ciske (Danny de Munk), eleven, tips a bottle of ink over his teacher in an Amsterdam classroom and does not care who sees it. Guido Pieters follows him through the school day and then to the bar where his mother Marie (Willeke van Ammelrooy) works, with Ciske pitching in behind the counter until late at night. When a boy with a polio-crippled leg joins the class, Ciske sits beside him, and the other kids start in on both of them.
