City of Angels

“She didn't believe in angels until she fell in love with one.”

Seth (Nicolas Cage) is an angel who stands unseen over Los Angeles, watching the living and listening to them. One afternoon he notices Maggie (Meg Ryan), a heart surgeon who holds her ground, and he cannot stop looking. Brad Silberling stages the romance across heaven and Earth, and Seth stays near her, unseen, wondering what it would cost to give up being an angel.
