City on Fire

“He thought he knew the risks of going undercover.”

Ko Chow (Chow Yun-Fat) is an undercover cop in Hong Kong with three people pulling at him at once. His boss, Inspector Lau (Sun Yueh), wants him inside a gang of jewel thieves, and his girlfriend wants a marriage proposal or she leaves with another man. Ringo Lam keeps Chow in the middle of it all, a tired man in a rumpled suit, guilty over the friends he is meant to betray.
