City That Never Sleeps

(1953)Directed by John H. Auer90 minCrime, Drama
“...from the Honky Tonks to the penthouses...the creeps, the hoods, the killers come out to war with the city!”

One crowded night in Chicago, patrolman Johnny Kelly (Gig Young) is ready to quit his badge and his marriage and run off with Angel Face (Mala Powers), the stripper he keeps promising to leave with. She is tired of waiting for him to decide, and Biddel (Edward Arnold), a crooked lawyer, offers him an illegal job that could finally pay for it. John H. Auer shot it with John L. Russell, keeping the whole story inside the one night.
