Class Action
“A father and a daughter, divided by a case, endangered by the truth.”
Station wagons are exploding, and the company that built them wants it kept quiet. Jedediah Tucker Ward (Gene Hackman), a liberal activist lawyer, sues the manufacturer, and his daughter Maggie (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio), a corporate lawyer, is assigned to defend it. Michael Apted stages their trial as two people arguing over years of old hurt, with Maggie's mother begging them both to stop.
