“Just because they serve you doesn't mean they like you.”

Dante (Brian O'Halloran) just wants to get through one shift at the Quick Stop, and he isn't even supposed to be there today. His friend Randal (Jeff Anderson) works the video store next door and spends the day insulting customers, while hockey games on the roof and a trip to a funeral home eat up the hours. Kevin Smith's first film, shot in black and white, is about two guys who complain about their jobs and never quite walk out on them.
