Cliff Walkers

Zhang Xianchen (Zhang Yi) wants to finish the mission that brought him back to China, a secret operation in 1930s Manchukuo, the puppet state held by Japan. He travels with three other Communist party special agents, and Zhang Yimou sets them down among threats that close in from every side once a traitor sells them out. The film leaves Zhang Xianchen and his team hemmed in, the danger never farther than the next street.
