Close to the Horizon

Jessica (Luna Wedler) is a young woman in Germany whose future already has a shape: where she is headed, and what her life should look like once she gets there. Then she meets Danny (Jannik Schümann), whose complicated past could unsettle every plan she has made. Tim Trachte's film, adapted from Jessica Koch's bestselling novel, turns on a single choice, between the life she has mapped out and the person who might undo it.
