Closed Curtain

A writer (Kambuzia Partovi) has drawn every curtain in a villa by the Caspian Sea and brought along a dog, hiding from the world outside. One night a young woman, Melika (Maryam Moghaddam), arrives fleeing the authorities and will not leave. Jafar Panahi shot the film secretly at his own house, under a twenty-year ban on filmmaking, and the sealed rooms carry that risk with them.
