“Some thing has found us.”

Rob Hawkins (Michael Stahl-David) is throwing a going-away party in Manhattan when a monster attacks the city. He and five others, including his ex Marlena (Lizzy Caplan), move through dark streets trying to reach safety while a handheld camera captures only what's directly in front of them. What they see suggests that survival means accepting how little you control, how quickly everything falls away.
