Coach Carter

“It begins on the streets. It ends here.”

Ken Carter (Samuel L. Jackson) is a former Richmond High star who comes back in 1999 to coach the school's basketball team, and he hands his players a contract before they touch a ball. It requires good grades and a jacket and tie on game days, and Kenyon Stone (Rob Brown) and Timo Cruz (Rick Gonzalez) are among those who have to decide whether to sign. Thomas Carter builds toward the point where a winning team is locked out of its own gym.
