Cobra Verde

Francisco Manoel da Silva (Klaus Kinski), known as Cobra Verde, is a feared bandit who rides across 19th century Brazil until he reaches the sugar plantation of Don Octavio Coutinho (José Lewgoy). Don Octavio hires him to oversee his slaves, then sends him to Africa once he learns Cobra Verde has fathered children with all three of his daughters. Herzog follows him to the fortress in Dahomey, where Kinski drives a man with no home left to go back to.
