“The celebration of a lifetime.”

Nobody in Miguel Rivera's family will say why music is banned from the house, and Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez) can't stop humming it anyway. His hero is the singer Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt), and on the night he tries to prove himself, he lands in the Land of the Dead. There he meets Héctor (Gael García Bernal), a trickster who offers to help, and Lee Unkrich fills the place with so much color and so many lit windows that it almost hurts to look.
