Cold Fish

“He'll make you pick up the pieces.”

Nobuyuki Shamoto (Mitsuru Fukikoshi) runs a small tropical fish shop and has little to say to his second wife or his teenage daughter, Mitsuko (Hikari Kajiwara). When she is caught shoplifting, Yukio Murata (Denden), the owner of a much larger fish store, smooths it over and offers her a job. Sion Sono keeps the camera close and the cheerfulness at full volume, so the friendliness gets harder to sit through the longer Shamoto stays.
