Cold Souls

“A soul searching comedy.”

Paul (Paul Giamatti), an actor rehearsing "Uncle Vanya," is so weighed down by anxiety that he can't get through a scene, so he reads a magazine article about a clinic that extracts souls and books an appointment. Dr. Flintstein (David Strathairn) puts the soul in storage, and it turns out to be the size and shape of a chickpea. Sophie Barthes plays all of this at a dry, even pitch, treating the procedure like any other medical appointment.
