Cold War
In the ruins of post-war Poland, the musician Wiktor Warski (Tomasz Kot) travels the countryside recording folk songs and auditioning young singers for a state ensemble. Zuzanna "Zula" Lichoń (Joanna Kulig) walks into those auditions with a confidence the others lack, and Paweł Pawlikowski follows them across the years. They run from the late 1940s into the 1960s, and each border they cross puts the two of them further out of reach.
