Cold Water

Gilles (Cyprien Fouquet) is sixteen in a Paris suburb in 1972, bored at school and shut out by a father who barely looks up. After the two of them are caught shoplifting, Christine (Virginie Ledoyen) is sent away to a home for disturbed children, and she escapes. Olivier Assayas keeps the focus on the pair, who have only each other and a growing idea of leaving together.
