Collateral

“It started like any other night.”

Max Durocher (Jamie Foxx) has driven a Los Angeles cab for twelve years and still talks about opening a limousine business someday. One night he takes a fare, Vincent (Tom Cruise), who offers $600 to be driven between several stops until morning. Michael Mann puts the two of them in the front and back seats, and the longer they stay in the car, the more each one starts to size up the other.
