“We are all connected”

Howard Inlet (Will Smith) is a grief-stricken advertising executive in New York who withdraws from everyone after his daughter dies. His concerned friends, including Whit Yardsham (Edward Norton) and Claire Wilson (Kate Winslet), stage an intervention with actors embodying Death and Time and Love to reach him. Howard must confront what these forces have taken from him, and what they might still offer.
