Ronald (Buster Keaton) is a bookish student who has no use for sports and says so in his graduation speech. Mary Haynes (Anne Cornwall) likes athletes, and the rival after her, Jeff Brown (Harold Goodwin), is one. James W. Horne and Keaton send Ronald onto the track and the field in borrowed gear, and he keeps his face perfectly still through all of it.
