Colonel Redl

In the last years of the Austro-Hungarian empire, Alfred Redl (Klaus Maria Brandauer) enters military school as a boy from a humble family and climbs through the ranks on loyalty to the crown alone. István Szabó follows him to the head of the Secret Police, in a court of uniforms, balls and favors owed. Redl's friendship with Christoph (Jan Niklas) is the tie he cannot manage as he manages everything else.
