“He's good at taking friends.”

Oliver (Azhy Robertson) is a lonely boy who doesn't speak and spends most of his hours with his phone and tablet, which are the only places he finds company. Then a creature called Larry begins to reach him through those screens, and his parents, Sarah (Gillian Jacobs) and Marty (John Gallagher Jr.), have to work out what is happening to their son. Jacob Chase leaves the bedroom dark except for the glow of the tablet, its cracked light pooling on Oliver's face.
