Come Sunday

“Believer. Preacher. Heretic.”

Carlton Pearson (Chiwetel Ejiofor) leads a large evangelical congregation in Tulsa, with Oral Roberts (Martin Sheen) as his mentor and his family close by. Then he begins preaching that there is no Hell, and the church that raised him turns away, from the pews to the pulpit. Joshua Marston, working from a *This American Life* episode, keeps the camera on faces during the sermons and the silences after.
