Coming Through the Rye

In 1969, sixteen-year-old Jamie Schwartz (Alex Wolff) has written a stage adaptation of The Catcher in the Rye and is sure he was born to play Holden Caulfield. He is not popular at his all-boys' boarding school, and he feels cut off from students and teachers alike. James Steven Sadwith follows Jamie and Deedee (Stefania LaVie Owen) as they set out to find the book's reclusive author, J.D. Salinger (Chris Cooper), and Jamie needs his permission to stage the play.
