Coming to America

“This summer, Prince Akeem discovers America.”

Prince Akeem (Eddie Murphy) is the pampered heir to the African kingdom of Zamunda, raised among servants who bathe him, dress him, and agree with everything he says. He wants a wife who will love him for himself, so he flies to Queens, New York, with his friend Semmi (Arsenio Hall), posing as a poor immigrant. John Landis follows Akeem as he takes a job, finds a flat, and learns what a day without servants costs.
