Comrades, Almost a Love Story

Lai Siu Gwan (Leon Lai Ming) steps off the train in Hong Kong with one plan, to save enough money to marry the girlfriend he left in mainland China. He falls in with Lee Kiu (Maggie Cheung Man-yuk), a streetwise hustler, and a friendship grows between them over the songs of Teresa Teng. Peter Chan shot the film in Hong Kong and New York City, following the pair across the years.
