“Even legends need a hero”

In 2000s Pittsburgh, Dr. Bennet Omalu (Will Smith), a Nigerian-born forensic pathologist, works in the county coroner's office under Dr. Cyril Wecht (Albert Brooks). When the body of former pro football player Mike Webster (David Morse) comes in, Omalu cuts into the brain to find out what happened. Peter Landesman follows his findings toward the National Football League, and Omalu keeps working at the table with the coroner's office around him.
