Confessions of a Police Captain

“He cut the red tape and left it full of bullet holes!”

Traini (Franco Nero) is a young public prosecutor who believes the law works if someone simply refuses to look away. His first case looks small, a prisoner judged criminally insane who is released through a police captain's arrangement and soon turns up dead. Damiano Damiani follows him as the paperwork leads into his own department, and Traini keeps pulling at it, sure that a man must be answerable for all of it.
