Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) is a New York shopper with a gift for finding a reason to buy, and a stack of unopened bills she keeps out of sight. She dreams of writing for a fashion magazine, but the only job she lands is an advice column on money at a financial title, under editor Luke Brandon (Hugh Dancy). P.J. Hogan sets her in a city of bright windows and racks of clothes, and her readers are now taking her word on how to manage money.
