Confessions of an Opium Eater

(1962)Directed by Albert Zugsmith85 minDrama, Crime
“Take one daring step beyond the threshold of your own imagination.”

In the nineteenth century, Gilbert De Quincey (Vincent Price) is an adventurer drifting through San Francisco's Chinatown, where a tong war is spreading street by street. Albert Zugsmith has him pulled into it by Ruby Low (Linda Ho) and the powerful George Wah (Richard Loo), though De Quincey is already in a haze of his own. He sits alone in a small, dim room, Price's hollow eyes fixed on a pipe as the smoke curls.
