Confidentially Yours

Barbara Becker (Fanny Ardant) is the secretary at a real estate office, and she is quick, nosy and not about to let her boss take the blame. Julien Vercel (Jean-Louis Trintignant) is suspected of killing his wife and her lover, so he hides in the office while she goes out to find the murderer herself. François Truffaut, in his last film, treats a murder case as a puzzle that a stubborn person can solve on her own.
