Bob (Louis Koo) is a debt collector and a single father who just wants to get through the day, so he treats the stranger on his phone as a prank. Grace Wong (Barbie Hsu) is begging him to believe she has been kidnapped, and as the line stays open, he can hear that she means it. Benny Chan, remaking the American film Cellular, keeps the whole thing moving at a run, with the phone as the only thread between them.
