“One meeting. Six million lives.”

On January 20, 1942, fifteen senior Nazi officials sit down to a catered lunch in a lakeside villa in Wannsee. Reinhard Heydrich (Kenneth Branagh) chairs the meeting, with Adolf Eichmann (Stanley Tucci) keeping the figures and Dr. Wilhelm Stuckart (Colin Firth) raising the legal objections. Frank Pierson builds the film from the one surviving transcript, and its horror is how ordinary the language of administration sounds.
