Contagion

“Nothing spreads like fear.”

A virus emerges in Hong Kong and spreads across the globe within days, killing thousands and collapsing the systems that hold cities together. Soderbergh follows epidemiologist Erin Mears (Kate Winslet), disease detective Ellis Cheever (Laurence Fishburne), and widower Mitch Emhoff (Matt Damon) as they move through the outbreak. The race is not to understand the disease but to manufacture a vaccine before the virus reaches everyone who matters.
