A video of Professor Pohl (Christoph Maria Herbst) shouting a racist remark at a student who walked in late spreads across the internet. Instead of firing him, the university's president, Lambrecht (Ernst Stötzner), assigns him to coach that student, Naima Hamid (Nilam Farooq), for an important debating competition. Sönke Wortmann puts them in a lecture hall, Naima at her desk and Pohl at the front, the clip still circulating between them.
