Home cooks from across the country arrive at a big-money national contest, each with a casserole to defend and a million-dollar prize waiting at the end. Directors Cathryn Michon and Guy Shalem follow the field with a mockumentary's deadpan camera, catching Amber Strang (Melissa McCarthy) and the rest as they set up their stations. Amber's husband Cameron (Ben Falcone) is there for every minute, and the film keeps checking how much he believes in her.
