Cool Hand Luke

Luke Jackson (Paul Newman), a petty criminal, is sentenced to two years on a Florida prison farm and won't follow the rules the warden sets or the ones the yard keeps for itself. Dragline (George Kennedy), the camp's resident heavy, watches him go back to the box again and again, and starts to admire him. Stuart Rosenberg keeps Luke grinning through every punishment, a man who has decided the system will not get his consent.
