“Where the Student Body Was a Chick Named Veronica... The Senior Prom was a 'belly rub' and the Class of '64 ran a Permanent crap game in the Men's Room!”

Two friends on Chicago's Near North Side, Leroy "Preach" Jackson (Glynn Turman) and Richard "Cochise" Morris (Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs), are cutting class and chasing parties in the mid-1960s when a stolen Cadillac lands them in a false arrest. Michael Schultz fills the days with hanging out, new girls and Motown on the soundtrack. Preach is a senior with a poet's streak and a school year left, and he has no idea how fast it will end.
