Cop au Vin

Anonymous notes and phone calls have been tormenting a bedridden widow's household in a provincial French town, and now a prank has turned deadly. Inspecteur Jean Lavardin (Jean Poiret) arrives to look into it, and Claude Chabrol keeps him close to Madame Cuno (Stéphane Audran), her son Louis (Lucas Belvaux), and neighbors who all know one another. What he finds is that nobody in a place this tight can stay clear of what the others have done.
