Cosmic Journey

Academician Pavel Sedykh (Sergei Komarov) has run out of patience with the cautious space institute in Moscow, so he builds a spacecraft of his own. He sets off for the moon with Marina (Kseniya Moskalenko), a female astronaut, and Andryusha (Viktor Gaponenko), a boy. Vasily Zhuravlyov shows weightlessness in this silent film from 1936, and the old scientist, the young woman and the child end up depending on one another a long way from home.
