“How far can he go before he goes too far?”

Eric Packer (Robert Pattinson), a 28-year-old billionaire asset manager, sets out across Manhattan in a stretch limousine because he wants a haircut, and the streets are filling with rioters. David Cronenberg keeps him sealed in the cabin, where people come and go, among them Didi Fancher (Juliette Binoche), while the city presses at the glass. His fortune and his sense of himself begin to come apart before the car reaches the barber.
