Count Dracula

“Finally! The original version!”

The story takes its cue from Bram Stoker's 1897 novel, and it begins with an old Count Dracula (Christopher Lee) who grows younger each time he feeds on the blood of young women. Around him are Renfield (Klaus Kinski), Mina Harker (Maria Rohm), Lucy Westenra (Soledad Miranda) and Van Helsing (Herbert Lom), who has the knowledge to name what is happening. Jesús Franco keeps to the novel's outline and paces it slowly, like a film made for the late hours.
