Count Dracula

“We belong dead”

Jonathan Harker travels to Transylvania to help the Count prepare for a move to England, and finds himself a prisoner in the castle instead. Philip Saville's BBC adaptation of Bram Stoker's novel follows Dracula (Louis Jourdan) across the sea and into the Westenra household, where Abraham van Helsing (Frank Finlay) begins to piece together what has arrived. Jourdan plays the Count as courteous and patient, a host who never needs to raise his voice.
