Courage Under Fire

“A medal for honor. A search for justice. A battle for truth.”

Lieutenant Colonel Nathaniel Serling (Denzel Washington) is a tank officer carrying a friendly-fire mistake the Army has buried, now parked behind a desk. His new assignment is to decide whether Captain Karen Walden (Meg Ryan), a helicopter commander, deserves the Medal of Honor. Edward Zwick has Serling interview her crew one by one, and their accounts will not line up, which turns a question of who to trust into a question of what truth is owed to the dead.
