Cousin, Cousine

(1975)Directed by Jean-Charles Tacchella95 minComedy, Romance
“A rare romantic comedy”

Marthe (Marie-Christine Barrault) and Ludovic (Victor Lanoux) are cousins only by marriage, strangers until they sit through a wedding banquet for an elderly couple and start talking. Jean-Charles Tacchella follows the friendship as it grows, while their spouses, Karine (Marie-France Pisier) and Pascal (Guy Marchand), begin to suspect it is more than friendship. What the film puts forward is simple: families are not only the ones you are born into.
