Why does a chorus girl in a Brooklyn nightclub suddenly find her face on the cover of a magazine? Rusty Parker (Rita Hayworth) dances for Danny McGuire (Gene Kelly), her boyfriend and the man who runs the club, until a modeling offer takes her out of the chorus.
